I live in Vancouver, BC next to the beautiful Coast Mountains. These days my big interests are backcountry skiing and summer mountain exploration. I also enjoy sea kayaking, hiking, mountaineering and the occasional climbing foray. There are so many incredible peaks that I still want to ski and scramble that it's hard to put energy into other activities. I am currenlty a grad student at Simon Fraser University in the School of Resource and Environmental Management (REM).

I hope you find this website useful. It has been designed to help keep my scrambles guidebook updated over time. It is inevitable that roads will change, mistakes will be found, and better routes will be discovered. I hope to keep the book current and useful by putting any new information here on the site. As well, I hope to offer new scrambles over the years as I continue to explore the local mountains. Please keep me posted of any new info your have regarding scrambling in the area, and I will pass on news to others.

Ski Descent Ratings
One of the things I'm currently interested in is a standardized rating system for ski descents. I think ski guidebooks would really benefit from something like this.
