cerro piltriquitron ski descent

August 29, 2006

I spent my last full day in argentina summiting Piltriquitrón, also known Piltri, an interesting peak above El Bolson.

There was a very cool refugio on route to the summit.

Barney skins up towards Piltri.

Nearing the summit.

Matt at the summit.

Skiing off the top.

Good corn.

More turns.

Nearing the bottom of the slopes

Chilling on the porch of the refugio overlooking El Bolson. The custodian was the coolest, most laid back guy.

Enjoying a beverage. They make home brew at the refugio from snowmelt water. Perfect!

HIking back to the rental car. A bit like my Coast Mountains Trips, no?
